Get into the spooky spirit this October with October Fright Nights at Harkins Estrella Falls! Every Friday and Saturday, you can catch a lineup of creepy classics, spooky favorites, and fright-filled movies back on the big screen throughout the month.
Tickets are just $6 per movie, or if you want to make a few movie nights out of it, grab a Fright Night Pass for $24, which gets you into five movies.
The first week has something for everyone, with Hotel Transylvania bringing some family-friendly Halloween fun for the kiddos, while Weapons offers a much scarier option for the grown-ups.
So grab some popcorn, pick your level of spooky, and make a night of it at the movies. 🍿👻

Recommended for children ages 5 and up. Kids ages 5–7 may need a little help from an adult. This is a drop-in program, but space is limited to 50 people!

Calling all Disney fans! The Villains Market is coming to Goodyear Ballpark on Saturday, October 3 from 5–10 PM for a night of magic, mischief, and all things spooky. Browse 100 Disney-inspired vendors, enjoy themed food and drinks, and snap a picture at the free photo booth.
Meet Halloween Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, along with some favorite villains including the Evil Queen, Maleficent and Ursula. There will also be face painting, a slime bar, flash tattoos, and more, plus free screenings of Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown.

Bring the kids along for the Kids Market featuring young entrepreneurs, a bounce house, cartoon artist, and pet and owner photo shoots. You can also check out permanent jewelry, piercings, fine line tattoos, and a Dolly-inspired photo backdrop. Admission and parking are free, so grab the family and come shop local!

Fall Exploration Camp

If you're already wondering how you're going to keep the kids busy once school is out, the Goodyear Recreation Campus has a fun option! Their five-day Exploration Camp is designed for kids ages 5–12, with a different theme each day and plenty of activities to keep them entertained.
Kids can enjoy sports and gym time, arts and crafts, games, teen room activities, and more as they explore everything the GRC has to offer. You can sign up for the entire week or choose individual themed days, depending on what works best for your family.
Children must have completed Kindergarten to attend, and sack lunches are required.

The Starpointe Farmers Market is back for the 2026–27 season! Starting Wednesday, October 7, you can stop by the Starpointe Residents Club in Estrella every other Wednesday from 10 AM to 1 PM to shop fresh produce and local goods. The market will run through April, with upcoming dates on Oct. 7 & 21, Nov. 4 & 18, Dec. 2 & 16, Jan. 13 & 27, Feb. 10 & 24, Mar. 10 & 24, and Apr. 7 & 21. 🤠 Cavender’s Boot City Opening October 2!

Western style is making its way to Market at Estrella Falls! Cavender’s Boot City is set to open its new 15,000-square-foot Goodyear location on Friday, October 2, bringing a huge selection of Western boots, jeans, hats, apparel, accessories, and more to the West Valley.

Cotton Lane Is Getting an Upgrade!

Good news for Goodyear drivers! Cotton Lane is being widened with two additional lanes between the Estrella roundabout and the Cotton Lane bridge. Construction starts next week and is expected to continue through spring 2027. There are no planned road closures, but drivers should slow down, use caution, and watch for traffic signs while traveling through the construction area. Click here to learn more.

United States vs. Mexico — Glendale

One of the biggest soccer rivalries is coming to the West Valley! The U.S. Men’s National Team takes on Mexico this Saturday. Tickets are still available, with resale prices starting around $105, depending on the seat and seller. Tickets can be purchased through State Farm Stadium or Ticketmaster.
The last few matchups have been a mix of wins and losses, with Mexico winning the 2025 Gold Cup Final 2–1 and the U.S. winning the two meetings before that. With both teams bringing plenty of history into this matchup, it should be a great game to watch. Who comes out on top this time? Either way, it should be a fun night of soccer!

Fall Fest West — Surprise

Fall Fest West is making its debut at Surprise Stadium and this sounds like such a fun way to spend an evening! Grab the family and/or some friends and enjoy the fall vibes at this brand new event.

14th Annual Running for the Bulls — Peoria

Run for a great cause and make a difference! Running for the Bulls supports AZK9 Rescue, making it a fun way to get active while helping local dogs in need. The races start bright and early at 7 AM, with 5K, 10K, 1 mile, and virtual options. There will also be special medals for four legged participants, local vendors, new merch, and the 2026 Nicole Summerlin Kindness Award. A fun morning for runners, walkers, and their pups!

Ritmos y Raíces | Rhythm & Roots - October 10
A celebration of Hispanic culture featuring live cultural performances, Lucha Libre wrestling, a Hispanic-owned mercado, local artisans and small businesses, plus food and drinks.

Movie in the Parks: Toy Story 5 - October 17
Bring the family for an evening with Woody and Buzz, food trucks, face painting, crafts, yard games and a themed photo opportunity, followed by Toy Story 5 under the stars.

Fall Festival - October 24
A big family Halloween event featuring trick-or-treating on the field, entertainment and a costume contest with categories for kids, adults, families/groups and more.
