Household Hazardous Waste Pickup Scheduling is Now Open

Goodyear residents can schedule a curbside pickup to safely dispose of household hazardous waste, including paint, motor oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, and certain batteries.
The City of Goodyear's program is available to residents with an active city sanitation account. Each household is limited to one pickup per seasonal collection period, and the total weight limit is 20 pounds. Paints and liquids are limited to 10 gallons combined, with no individual container larger than 5 gallons.
Can't schedule a pickup? Residents can arrange a year-round drop-off appointment through ACTenviro in Laveen. Proof of residency and an active Goodyear sanitation account are required. Call 602-842-9160 for an appointment and directions.

Important: Keep materials in clearly labeled, original containers whenever possible. Rechargeable batteries should never go in regular trash or recycling bins.
Check the city's website for accepted materials, collection requirements, and scheduling information.

Election season is here (Part 2!)
Last week, I broke down the propositions on Arizona’s ballot. This week, we’re looking at the candidates running for statewide offices. From governor and attorney general to secretary of state and superintendent.

And I am not done yet! Next week, I’ll be breaking down the judicial appointments, the U.S. House of Representatives and Arizona Legislature races, including candidates running in our local congressional and state legislative districts, so you can learn more about the people who could represent you.
